i have read the 7 real prostate survivors stories and found that it really helped me to have a more rounded view of living with prostate cancer. Dealing with a serious disease is not just about diagnosis and cure.


i am as i write this book 52 years old married with two teenage kids. I do not have prostate cancer so why write a book about prostate? well the truth is i did not write the book, 7 really great guys were gracious enough to tell all and i now present it to you because i think this is an important subject.


before we go any further let me make this clear – i am not a doctor nor am i making any claims or recommendations about cures or remedies.


my dad has an enlarged prostate, my father-in- law has prostate cancer, my neighbour has had the operation and i wanted to know more about it. I am glad that i did find out more


i recently had a prostate test digitally and would have to say my doctor was fantastic and made it easy – it was over in a second. No fuss no pain or embarrassment. (i passed the test by the way )


about a year ago i had a colonoscopy. Why – because i failed the test where you smear a tiny piece of poo on a test film. There was evidence of blood. So i was bundled into hospital quick smart to find out why. To cut a long story short they knock you out and insert a camera up your rear end and have a good look at your intestines to see if they can find a polyp.
